Soul Kitchen

For German-Greek restaurant owner Zinos and a number of inhabitants of the Hamburg working-class neighbourhood the Soul Kitchen is a kind of home away from home. In the former factory hall Zinos offers his regular guests such delicacies as supermarket pizza, fish sticks with potato salad or hamburger à la Hawaii - but good music as well. Zinos' seemingly intact world suddenly falls apart when his girlfriend Nadine leaves for Shanghai, he slips a disc while lifting a dishwasher, and his slightly criminal brother Illias gets out of prison on day release. Then the health authorities threaten to close the place down, and real estate shark wants to buy the hall and tear it down. But Zinos is not someone to let his world go to pot...
